Thirsty Thursday – Upcoming Releases

Hey guys! Happy Thursday! Today I’m going to be talking about some of the upcoming releases I am excited for next week Not only is it October and the start of spooky season, but it’s the start of new bookstagram challenges, giveaways, and rep months! I’m so excited!

  1. Shadow Frost by Coco Ma (10/1/2019) Blackstone Publishing
    • I actually got the ARC of this but never got around to reading it. I am really trying to read more work by asian authors and the premise of this sounds so interesting! There is a beast terrorizing a kingdom and the princess has sworn to slay it. They begin to unravel a plot within a plot, an assassination of the princess herself. Who can she trust? Is the kingdom worth saving now? I can’t wait to find out!
  2. Imaginary Friend by Stephen Chbosky (10/1/2019) Grand Central Publishing
    • I haven’t read a Stephen Chbosky novel since The Perks of Being a Wallflower and I find it so interesting that this novel is a suspenseful thriller! I love when authors branch out of genres they are well known for and exercise more creative will. In this novel, single mom Kate is on the run with her son Christopher and they flee to a small town in Pennsylvania. Things are great until Christopher emerges from the woods with a voice inside his head. He is on a mission to build a tree house in the woods or else. For what, who knows but it sounds scary!
  3. Wayward Son by Rainbow Rowell (10/3/2019) Pan Macmillan
    • YAY!!! It is finally here! I have been waiting for Wayward Son since the second I finished Carry On! Simon beat the villain, won the war, found love… but he seems depressed. Simon, Baz, and Penny cruise across the American West in search of something new. They encounter new foes and get so lost they have no idea which direction they are heading! This book answers the question of, “When the chosen one has won, what next?”

Are you going to be reading any of these books next week? I am hoping to get to at least one of them! I’m not sure I’m ready for the super spooky Imaginary Friend but I think I will dive straight into Shadow Frost!
